Also known as: FICO Score, Beacon Score, Empirica 950

Definition: A numeric index which attempts to quantify an individual’s credit risk based off of the items found on their credit report. The exact scoring algorithm utilized can vary, depending on the lender. One of the most common scoring models is the FICO model. Scores in the FICO model typically range from 350 (very poor) to 850 (perfect).
